First post of the year! I hope you guys had a wonderful start to 2020. On our end, we had a really nice and chill holiday season. It was nice to not have any plans, just lounge at home and count down to the New Year.

On a related note, I am one to almost never indulge in self care. This year, I’ve made the decision to pamper myself whenever I can. Giving myself time to work out and to enjoy a facial every other month plus hanging out and having more fun times with my girlfriends. For me, it always seems easier to do all of these things during a slow period/month but when work gets little busier I might lose sight of that. So I have to make the effort to keep that in mind when things get hectic! I’m sure a lot of you guys out there know what I’m talking about. Work and family can take so much out of us that we neglect ourselves.

Although I feel like perhaps on top of sharing countless outfit posts on IG and the blog, maybe I should start documenting my downtime/self care activities a little more and that might get me to take it easy now and then. Do you guys have trouble switching off too?

I love my mum jeans. Still do in fact, but I am giving them a break and moving onto “Dad” jeans that are inspired by the baggy styles of the 90s. I’ll admit to having a mild obsession with the 90s trend – like the oversized blazer paired with these slouchy jeans. I didn’t want to go completely baggy so I kept my racerback tank fitted. Personally, these olive/brown, muted tones are my favorite. Like a tune lingering in the air, I’ve been feeling and it shows in what I wear

This fall, I am all about blazers and I especially love this double breasted blazer from Other Stories. It really gives 5’2″ me, that perfect “oversized” look I love so much.

We shot this in Lansing, Michigan when we went to visit Reuben’s cousin and his wife at their amazing firehouse. I really love how it has the vibe of a big city but also has such diverse backdrops. A couple streets over, you get an almost Austin feel as you get closer to MSU! And just mile or so further down, beautiful suburbs. All without LA traffic! This location was just next to City Hall and I love how the colors behind me complement this look so perfectly

Denim skirts are back! Whether it’s midi, mini, pencil or wrap, they’re all back with a bang! I love these distressed dark grey wrap ones from Agolde. They fit so well and don’t tug up when I walk. Wore this look when we were in NYC last week. Have you also noticed I am a big fan of white shoes for summer? These have been my go-tos recently but I am on the hunt for another pair, maybe something open-toed instead. If you know of any, feel free to share your recs in the comments k? I’ve always loved wearing dresses over jeans but in this instance its more of a top over jeans. I don’t think it’s actually possible to wear it as a dress unless maybe you are wearing a bikini underneath which I think could be a great idea for the summer when you’re by the pool. It’s currently on sale now and it’s a great time to check it out and maybe take a risk or two with your styling. I am wearing size 0 and for reference I’m 5’2, so I think this works great for us petite girls!

Keeping it classic and casual but adding a fun twist to a look is usually my go-to style philosophy. I’ve been re-wearing my favorites recently and while some aren’t available for purchase anymore I always try to link similar pieces. For me, the piece isn’t as important as the idea. If you already have something similar in your closet, a look like this is so easy to put together. Today, I gave myself a mission of trying to style outfits with things that I still adore in my closet from previous seasons because I wanted to highlight that amazing looks don’t always have to come from brand new pieces and that most, if not all of us have great things we might have forgotten about hiding in our closets. So show some love and strut your stuff!

 I’ve had these jeans for almost a year now and there’s only one retailer that carries them so I’ll link it below (the exact style) but I am always on the hunt for a new pair of high waisted mum style jeans. If I find another perfect pair soon, look out for a post featuring it not long after!

I loved this top the moment I spotted it. The light pastel yellow is just perfect for spring and the knit is so lightweight you can style it with a blazer if the evenings start to get cooler.

We spent this past weekend in Palm Springs and we shot a few looks that were different from what I normally do and I am so excited to share them with you guys! I always feel it’s good to push your creativity, so stay tuned and see what I styled for the desert heat!

Happy Monday you guys, I am so excited to share this post with you!! Some of you who have been following me since early on would have seen me post a ton of vintage finds in the past.  Along the way in the last few years I let that drop a little bit as contemporary trends caught my eye. I still had a big passion for vintage finds so I never stopped looking! One of the great things when it comes to vintage shopping is that I always seem get lucky with finding petite sizes. Well, the last few weeks, I had some time in my hands so I decided to ditch mall shopping for a minute and checked out some vintage stores I had not been to in a while.

I was so glad I did because in all my years of vintage shopping I don’t think I’ve ever scored anything as fabulous as this unicorn colored blazer. It was $5 dollars. Yes, you read that right. $5!!! My jaw dropped when the store owner told me the price. The condition of this blazer is PRISTINE! This has to be the best ever fashion purchase in my life! It’s so crazy that the littlest thing that only cost me $5 made me smile all day! I couldn’t believe it and now looking back at the shoot, I STILL can’t believe it!! I love my Unicorn Blazer so much!!

You know I am obsessed with something if you spot me wearing it over and over again. In this instance, it’s my brown circle bag. I packed a few bags for New York  last week but somehow ended up carrying this bag most of the time. Who knew this brown chocolate color bag would pretty much go with anything?

I think it’s got a lot to do with the fact that it’s just a perfectly sized circle bag with silver details. That little bit of “pop” makes it so versatile. I’ve been eyeing a few circle (or some would call round) bags and have listed a few below for you guys to check out so enjoy!

You guys can’t blame me for still sprinkling in some NYC photos from December 2017. It was sooooo cold and we still did a bunch of shoots so I’m sure you understand right!? Seriously though it was a fun challenge to bundle up for warmth but at the same time, still style outfits that I liked. I have a couple more and then it’s back to LA looks so stay tuned.

 I wanted to touch base a little on the oversized coat trend. I’ve always loved it because of it’s such a cool “Urban” casual look. Coats can make us think of rigidness but This one (on sale right now) in particular is so soft and warm yet not bulky at all. The dark olive tone is so easy to style and will pretty much go with anything in your closet. I wanted to initially pair it with a some oxfords for an androgynous look but it was far too cold to show any skin around the ankle so booties it was. And you know what, it turned into a good practical AND fashion choice.
