Hi guys! Sharing a look we shot in Grand Rapids a couple of weeks ago. Fall in Michigan is something else! We were actually driving to Grand Rapids from Chicago where we got to spend a couple days at one of our favorite properties, The Peninsula Chicago. I really recommend that drive because it is just beautiful along Lake Michigan with tons of little towns and main streets along the way.

While Chicago was all about experiencing the city and getting in some shoots, Grand Rapids was about family. The Mister and I have been wanting to visit his Uncle Alfred and Auntie Judy as well as his cousins for a while now but schedules always got in the way. I guess it was meant to be because when we finally got the dates locked in, it coincided with Auntie Judy’s birthday so everyone was heading up to Grand Rapids anyway!

We also spent a day in Lansing to see the most amazing house Reuben’s cousin and his wife bought a couple of years ago. It used to be a firehouse that they have put some hard work into and it already looks amazing! Plus, they kept the pole! They still have a few more plans that they are working on and we can’t wait to go back to see it completed.

Needless to say, we loved our time in Michigan. It really reminded us how lucky we are when we were celebrating together and I will always be thankful for that.
