Hi Guys! Hope you’re having a great start to the week out there! I have definitely been taken by statement bags recently. I just can’t get enough of showstopper pieces but a huge factor for me has to be structure. The shape, design and embellishments have to make sense together. With all that in mind, I hit the trifecta with this utterly amazing black ‘Le Sac Rond’ Bag from designer Simon Porte Jacquemus. Simon is a french designer with some of the hottest pieces out now! I picked up this bag from Farfetch and they have definitely become my go-to source for cutting edge designers so you guys need to check them out if you haven’t already!

But back to this amazing piece. I love how easy it was to style it! I kept my outfit understated with a black crop top, high rise trousers and black pumps because I was really in a “sleek” mood that day. I could so easily have gone with some colors or denim and it would still work so amazingly well! Carrying the bag around that day was definitely fun. People kept asking me about it and complimenting my look so I had a spring in my step!

Another plus is how versatile the bag is. Carry with by the rigid handle, or attach the included shoulder strap whenever you want for another look! It definitely demands attention and when I took it out of the box, I was enamored and will confess to gazing at it for a few minutes. I think my favorite part of the design though is that while it definitely has a fashion forward vibe, it also has a touch of 80’s inspired nostalgia and that is a huge trend right now. It is such a hard thing to balance but Jacquemus has utterly knocked it out of the park with this and I’m so happy it caught my eye when I was browsing on Farfetch!
