LOUNGING @11Howard

Another trip to NYC is in the books and as always, it was a blast! Forgive me for being a little whimsical, but the city now feels like an old friend that you’re always sad to leave but know you’ll be seeing again soon which also perfectly describes our feelings about the 11 Howard in SoHo.

We’ve been lucky enough to have stayed at this amazing downtown hotel a few times now and we can’t help but feel “at home” there. From the moment we checked in and when the gracious staff greeted us so warmly and remembered us from our previous times there, to the signature minimalist Scandinavian inspired decor (which I utterly adore!) of the entire hotel (insta heaven!).

We’ve stayed all over the city from the Upper West Side to FiDi and I really love how unique the different neighborhoods of NYC are. The hotel is right in the middle of some of the most amazing urban backdrops in the city, it is SoHo after all and you guys are going to be seeing some of that in my next few outfit posts! It’s such a pleasure being able to get a quick shoot done just minutes from our hotel and we especially appreciated being able to cool off in between meetings thanks to how easy it is to get to and from the hotel by subway or cab. The weather threw us a little bit of a curveball as well. I packed mostly light weight and summer pieces since the forecast was promising warm and humid weather throughout our time time there and we were heading to Miami before coming back to LA. But of course, it cooled down slightly for a few days before we left but it was no biggie since I took a quick 5 minute walk to Broadway and went on a mission for a light jacket (or 3). Even the Mister got in on the act and picked up a couple pairs of shoes! So yes if you’re an avid shopper, this hotel is right in the middle of heaven!

We always find it hard to leave the city (even if it is for Miami) but we’d like to thank 11 Howard for making it even more difficult by making our stay so lovely as always. I’ll conclude with giving you guys one more tip. If you guys are in the neighborhood and start to feel a little hungry, head to The Library at the 11 Howard and order up their delicious chicken fingers and ask for some spicy mayo. You can thank(blame) the Mister for that one!
