By now I am I am sure most of you know that my hair is naturally wavy/curly and I’m constantly looking for ways to accentuate my curls in the best way. About a month ago I had a 1-on-1 session with Pantene Global Ambassador and stylist, Danilo and he suggested I try Pantene’s Pro-V Smooth and Sleek Shampoo and Conditioner whenever I wanted to wear my hair in it’s natural state or add more curls (I know it seems weird that I’m using Smooth & Sleek to define my curls, but it helps to fight humidity and control frizz all day!). I recreated the same look at home that Danilo created for me by using a few products and a curling iron and I wanted to share each step with you guys if you wanted to get similar results as mine in this post.
Start by using Pantene’s Pro-V Smooth and Sleek Shampoo to strengthen your hair to the core with lipids and antioxidants. Then use Pantene’s Pro-V Smooth and Sleek Conditioner to build on the shampoo’s strength without weighing hair down. Prior to blow drying, comb your hair into sections and spritz Pantene Pro-V Full and Strong Body Booster Spray along the roots of your hair to create all over body and fullness. Once hair is dry, add a dollop of Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Combing Creme to the back of your hand; spread a pea-size amount evenly along a small section of hair to help restore moisture and add shine.
Since my hair is naturally curly, I only straightened the roots of my curls but kept ¾ in its natural state. I wrap lower sections of hair around the curling iron for about 12 seconds at 390F (temps can depend on how thick/thin your hair strands are) and then release for a soft and shiny wave. Finally run fingers through the curls and then secure your look by spraying Pantene Pro-V Style series Airspray all over hair for that shiny and healthy look throughout the day.
One major tip! Pick up a silk pillowcase because it really helps when keeping your locks shiny and soft without any bedhead hair the next day.
I would really love for you guys to try this out at home and tell me how it goes so tell me all about it in the comments section!
Thank you to Pantene for partnering on this post
