Hey guys! Firstly, I’m so sorry that I haven’t posted in a while. To make up for it, here’s a huge post featuring a brand that I’ve always been a fan of and a special guest who had more fun than he’s willing to admit being on the other side of the lens!
When most of us think of Timberland, we think of a brand known for stylish outdoors gear, perfect for camping and hiking. When they approached me to style some of their Fall and Holiday 2016 pieces, I will admit I was a little apprehensive about how I would make them fit my more urban aesthetic. Well, after seeing the pieces for myself I quickly realized how mistaken I was.
As you can see by the first few pics on this post, Timberland fit the outdoors perfectly as you would expect. The Marge boots in brown are actually really great for walking and super comfortable which is surprising considering the heel. But I gave it a good workout on both a gentle hike in Big Sur and on the sidewalks of San Francisco and I can attest to that fact! On a styling point of view, they transition so well to an urban background. As does the amazing Chesire satchel. The contents inside the satchel might change slightly when you’re in the city but the bag itself fits any locale.
I also love that deep shade of brown on that killer leather jacket in my second look. This is a piece that would be a staple for me because it’s also so well insulated that I can wear less layers during cooler days so any outfit would look super sleek even during cooler days and nights. I styled this look based on an “urban explorer” theme and those black boots are a perfect complement to the entire outfit!
And finally we have our special guest, the Mister modeling some of their men’s pieces. With the holidays upon us, these would be the perfect gifts for your guy on the go. The Mister actually converted the backpack into a camera bag with an insert he found at a camera store and it’s all he carries now when we travel! Hard to believe but the backpack fits all his camera gear (body, lenses, chargers and batteries), his laptop and iPad with space to spare. It’s also water resistant and that came in handy in both Boston and New York!
His Welder suede leather jacket was another piece that got a lot of use in the cold of Manhattan. The quality was what you would expect from Timberland and he loved how warm it kept him and how well it went with everything he wore! He was an especially huge fan of the texture of the jacket.
Finally, I just wanted thank all of you for dropping by and I hope you guys are having a great holiday season so far. I also want to thank Timberland for partnering up with with me for this post.
