Celebrating the launch of Marc Jacob’s new fragrance, HONEY, I’ll be sharing my favorite hangouts or should I say “honey” spots in my neighborhood, Studio City. CA. I’ve been here for a few years now and have a few regular places that I frequent but these are 3 of my favorites and if I had to play tourist with a family or friend, I’d probably take them here.
We are lucky to have a ton of great eateries in Studio City, especially on Ventura Blvd, but if you are looking for awesome food, an amazing selection of beer and just a cool hang, you definitely want to check out one of my favorite gastropubs, Laurel Tavern. Their burgers are a personal favorite and looking at the pic below of what we ordered, you can see why. It’s a real chill place, so if you are looking to hang out with a group of friends and unwind after a hard day’s work over a brew or two, this place is perfect.
After that delicious meal, we can move on to one of my favs when it comes to shopping. Also, located on Ventura Blvd, is Wasteland. I love checking out new and vintage clothes and this store always comes through. When it comes to thrift or vintage shopping, you need patience and a great eye but Wasteland is good at curating the right pieces for the store and their clients. Their new clothing is just as amazing. Very on trend and reasonably priced.
I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned it on my blog but I have a major sweet tooth and I especially love chocolate in any form, be it cupcake, brownie or just a plain old milk chocolate bar. Whenever I am in the mood for cupcakes, I visit Bake Sugar. A quaint little store that has a great selection of the classics like chocolate and red velvet to anything seasonal. They even have some fantastic custom cupcakes like their recent “Breaking Bad” selection. Bake Sugar also stock some cool items for the home, especially the kitchen.
Honey by Marc Jacobs is a sunny delicious floral – energetic and alluring, with a sparkling, golden touch. The perfect mix of brightness and warmth. The fragrance energizes with the freshness of green pear brightened with a splash of fruity punch and juicy mandarin. At the heart of the fragrance is orange blossom, a note of sparkling femininity that mingles with nectars of honeysuckle and peach. Honey, vanilla, and smooth woods dry down to a warm, golden base.
