NO MAKEUP REQUIRED

Makeup feels like an essential part of our lives. Some of us might even feel like we can’t leave the house before putting our “faces” on. I was no exception to that but have always felt that makeup should accentuate and not become a crux. It’s hard not to feel a little vulnerable going makeup free even though the benefits are totally worth it! Thankfully, I’m starting to get a little more comfortable leaving the house more often without makeup and for why that is, read on.

A big part of feeling confident to go without makeup is prepping our skin so it looks great. With all our layers of makeup, our sensitive pores can get clogged and damage is inevitable. That’s why Olay Daily Facials is so amazing! I started using it to remove my makeup at night and within a week, I noticed that my skin was getting smoother and more radiant. Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve run the odd errand and even gone for coffee sans makeup but I’m usually under some fashionable headwear and oversized sunnies. Now I can leave the accessories at home if I want! Plus, a big bonus is that since it’s a 4 in 1 (scrub, toner, mask and cleanser) my daily routine is now such a breeze.

Foundation was always a must for me but now that my skin is getting smoother, I don’t really feel the need to conceal as much and even the hubs noticed and said he loves my no makeup look! In fact, the mister and I spontaneously decided to hit up a great Happy Hour in our neighborhood and I didn’t want to waste too much time getting ready so I threw on a chic, casual outfit and out the door we went!

There was no way I would have been that confident going makeup free before Olay Daily Facials. But now I’m totally feeling like when your skin is radiant and smooth, why would you want to cover it up right? So I’d love to see you guys out there take the #NoMakeupRequired challenge and don’t forget to take some selfies to post to instagram! Remember the hashtag so I can take a look and read about your own experience.

Thank you to OLAY  for partnering on this post
