CHICAGO DAY 3

So here we are. At the end of our Chicago trip. NOT! We were scheduled to return to LA tomorrow but we simply could not bring ourselves to do it. The Mister and I decided to extend our stay in the city and at the Langham because what’s more spontaneous than deciding that your weekend isn’t long enough and extending it? 😉
But before we get too ahead of ourselves, lets get to our Day 3 Recap. The weather was simply amazing and we ended shooting an outfit post (posting soon), close to our hotel using some of the killer Gothic architecture the city is famous for as a backdrop. We visited the Art Institute of Chicago to take in some of the breathtaking pieces on display from different time periods and from all over the world. The modern art displays were a particular highlight.
A delicious lunch at The Chicken Shop in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood was capped off with the discovery of the ultimate ice cream cone! The day had become a little hot and humid so ice cream hit the spot.
Girl and The Goat had been recommended to us repeatedly by people who both live in and visited the city so we made reservations for a late dinner and after our first bite, we can see why it was so popular! If you ever find yourselves in Chicago, just go. Don’t think about it, just go. It is that good. They still have later times available for reservation on some days so you might have to eat later than you normally would but it’s SO WORTH IT!
So what adventures are we going to find ourselves in tomorrow? Follow along on Instagram and Snapchat and see!
Finally, I want to thank Time Out and Booking.com for giving me the opportunity to embrace spontaneity. The experience is priceless and I would recommend it to everyone.
