What can you say about Key West? The sun, the climate, the people, the scenery, the food, all so fantastic! If you’ve not been before, whatever expectations you might have will be blown out of the water, which was definitely the case for me.
From the moment we arrived at the beautiful Gates Key West, we were spoiled. We had to have a
pre-check in mojito to toast the beginning of our tropical adventure. I can’t speak highly enough of the hotel, we fell in love with it! The pool was where we found ourselves most of the time. With the bar just a few feet away, no mystery why that was. And with the (not so) secret weapon of the hotel, The Blind Pig food truck right next door we hardly had to leave the premises!
We finally managed to drag ourselves away from the pool to see what the rest of Key West had to offer on our Gates Key West bikes. We found a bastion of great food and island life. Everything is just a little more laid back and this city girl sorely needed to shift down a couple of gears into cruise mode. We ended up seeing a lot of the city as you can see by our pics but we are already planning our return trip to get to the places we didn’t see and the things we didn’t get to do.
I am sure lots of you girls out there are in dire need of some down time in the sun sipping a cocktail by the pool so don’t hesitate, book your Key West trip ASAP!
