Viva Las Vegas

I have been to Las Vegas about 4 times and I wish I could enjoy Vegas as much as some people do. I don't enjoy gambling and I don't enjoy partying as much as I used to. If it wasn't for work, I wouldn't be there. As I was packing for my trip, i realised i don't have any party clothes...like...a VEGAS dress, everything in my closet is way too conservative. 


For my 2nd night, I dressed myself in a simple black dress and threw on a full sequin jacket for dinner with my hubby. I may not have stood out amongst the other girls but i sure felt comfortable and still blingy.

Floppy Hat

My recent purchase was a summer floppy hat from Urban Outfitters; you would think I would already have it in my closet. I have a few fedoras but never owned a floppy hat. Anyways, I am leaving for Las Vegas tomorrow and it's like 120 degrees there right now.  I am hoping this floppy hat will keep the extreme UV rays away from my face.

Skirts and Spikes

I have not worn a long skirt in years, as I am mostly either in jeans or leggings. I am starting to love skirts again, long skirts especially. This one in particular is really basic which means I can dress it up or down. This Spiky bracelet is my current favorite summer accessory, I have used it way too many times. I've even got the spiky necklace in silver and antique gold.

Hamsa Pendant

I bought this pretty pendant recently without knowing it's true meaning. I came home, Wikipedia'd it..and here's what it said...


The hamsa is a palm-shaped amulet popular throughout the Middle East and North Africa. It is often incorporated in jewelry and wall hangings, as a defense against the evil eye.

Brandy Melville

Congrats to Brandy Melville for opening their second store in LA.
The store has basic cotton tanks, tees, skirts, dresses, and a mix of fun "euro" designs.
I really really LOVE their selection of slouchy shirts. My wardrobe is really about the greys, whites, blacks, and navys so this store is perfect for me. So while it's basic in terms of style, it's still... different. You'll just have to drop by and see for yourself.
